The CIRC Pants Style Smue are the hobbyhorse of the Hiking Circularity collection, as they were our first circular product made from recycled material from old, discarded clothing.

Climate change affects us all, which is why sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in the textile industry. The Hiking Circulyrity collection from Schöffel is resource and environmentally friendly and has a significantly lower carbon footprint than comparable products.

What is Schöffel's goal?

Schöffel's aim is to produce environmentally friendly outdoor clothing that is durable and has a low footprint. Repair - Re-use - Recycle. In the Schöffel Service Factory, damaged clothing can be repaired in order to extend the life of individual products. The recycling process only comes into play when the clothing can no longer be used. Here we work with Monocomponent products and our partner Rittec to produce new, recycled and high-quality clothing.

What is monocomponent?

Products usually consist of different materials and individual parts such as fabrics or zippers. Often all components of these products are made from different raw materials. With the monocomponent products in the Hiking Circularity collection, care is taken to use only one material. This material is reintroduced into the cycle in an almost loss-free recycling process and processed into a high-quality new product.
