Warranty conditions for the 5-year warranty of Schöffel Sportbekleidung GmbH
1. Scope of the warranty
1.1. Schöffel Sportbekleidung GmbH (address: Ludwig-Schöffel-Strasse 15, 86830 Schwabmünchen, Germany, email: mail@schoeffel.de), hereinafter referred to as Schöffel, offers the original purchaser of a new Schöffel product bearing the hang tag shown below a voluntary 5-year warranty should the Schöffel product have any material, manufacturing or workmanship defects and provided the requirements of these warranty conditions are met.

1.2. Schöffel will, at its own discretion and depending on the individual case, do one of the following:
- carry out a free repair or
- provide an equivalent replacement product or
- issue a voucher for the Schöffel online shop for the amount of the purchase price.
No cash payments will be made. The warranty period is not extended by the provision of a warranty service.
1.3. This free, voluntary warranty provided by Schöffel supplements the statutory rights to defects (in particular as per Articles 434 et seq. of the German Civil Code) and does not limit them. Your statutory rights in the event of defects in the item (including the rights to subsequent performance, withdrawal, reduction, and damages) are not affected by this warranty. This warranty provides additional rights beyond the legal obligations and complies with the requirements of the EU Consumer Goods Purchase and Warranty Directive, and the German Consumer Rights Act.
2. Warranty provider
The warranty is provided by Schöffel Sportbekleidung GmbH (Schöffel).
3. Warranty conditions
3.1. The following conditions, items 1 to 7, must all be met:
1) The new Schöffel product must bear the hang tag shown above at the time of purchase. Schöffel products that do not bear a hang tag at the time of purchase are excluded from this warranty.
2) You must be the original purchaser of the new Schöffel product. The warranty cannot be transferred to anybody else.
3) You must register as the original purchaser within 3 months of the date of purchase, including the proof of purchase, at schoeffel.com/guarantee.
4) The geographical scope of the warranty is not limited.
5) The period of validity of the warranty is 5 years from the date of purchase as per the invoice for the Schöffel product.
6) There must be a defect in the material, manufacture, or workmanship.
Schöffel will check whether this is the case; the warranty will not apply in the event of damage caused by accidents, falls etc.; excessive or abusive use or treatment; use of force or damage caused by insufficient/incorrect care.
7) You must submit a warranty application and follow the procedure described therein.
3.2. Privacy notice for warranty registration
Responsible: Schöffel is responsible for the processing of your personal data within the scope of this warranty.
Purpose of the processing: Your personal data (name, email address, country, proof of purchase and product information) will be processed exclusively for the purpose of handling and management of the 5-year warranty.
Legal basis: Your data will be processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR (“Customer consent”).
Transfer to third parties: The data used for the warranty registration is processed by our service provider Salesforce Inc. (The Landmark @ One Market, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA) in European data centres.
Storage period: The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required in order to achieve the purposes for which it was collected (5-year warranty). Data is stored for the statutory retention period.

4. Warranty claim procedure
(1) Please submit your warranty claim via https://www.schoeffel.com/bl/en/contact with the subject “5-year warranty”. Important: Please enter the same email address as the one used for your registration.
Please assist us with a speedy assessment of your request by providing the following information:
- description of the defect in your words
- photos of the damage
- a photo of the model information on the care label (which you will find in the breast pocket, side pocket or side seam)
- a photo of the whole product
(2) Your request will be processed by Schöffel. Schöffel’s Service Team often asks customers to send in their product for inspection. Schöffel will pay any shipping costs incurred. Shipping costs for products that are sent in without being requested will not be refunded.
5. Other warranty exclusions
This warranty expressly does not apply to:
- products purchased through Schöffel PRO GmbH.
- Schöffel Team Wear products for use in ski schools, ski clubs and the like.
- Schöffel TEC products (motorcycle clothing, official clothing).
- Schöffel Country products purchased through the company Bradshaw Taylor in the UK.
- Products provided by Schöffel for Schöffel crew members, brand ambassadors, testers and athletes.
- Products acquired in a competition.
- Products purchased from the Schöffel warehouse outlet.
- Used or second-hand products and products used for commercial or trade purposes.
6. Revocation and termination
You are also free to revoke the warranty claim at any time after registration using the contact form. Accordingly, you can then – additionally – request the deletion of your data to the extent regulated by law. 7. Note on limitation of liability
Schöffel limits its liability for damage caused by a defect in the product as follows:
- Damage to other items: As far as legally permissible, Schöffel assumes no liability for damage to other items caused by a defect in the product.
- Production and financial losses: Likewise, liability for loss of production, loss of profit or other financial losses caused by a defect in the product is also excluded to the extent permitted by law.
- Exceptions:
- This limitation of liability does not apply if the damage was caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of Schöffel.
- Schöffel is fully liable for damage to life, limb or health caused by a defect in the product.
Legal rights: This limitation of liability does not affect the statutory rights to which you are entitled under the terms of the purchase contract.

9. Supplementary applicability of the General Terms and Conditions of Schöffel Sportbekleidung GmbH
Schöffel's General Terms and Conditions (GTC), available at https://www.schoeffel.com/bl/en/agb, apply in addition to these warranty conditions insofar as they do not modify or supplement the content of these warranty conditions. In the event of any objections, these warranty conditions shall prevail unless the GTC contain more specific provisions that apply to the warranty claim. Please note that your rights as a consumer are not limited by this inclusion of the GTC. In particular, your statutory rights to defects and other consumer rights remain unaffected.
